For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my sight, and honored, and I love you..."

Suzanne Robinett, Director of Connections and Administration
"...helping people to find ways to serve Christ in the community."
Born in Dallas, Texas, weighing a little over 2 lbs. & being 3 ½ months premature. Suzanne was adopted as an infant. Her dad always told her they "chose me because I was strong & could make it through anything. Life hasn’t always been a smooth path." Those words have always stuck with her. She was raised in Burnet from first grade on & graduated from Burnet High School.
Suzanne is married to Kevin Robinett & they just celebrated their 20-year anniversary. He is retired from Austin Energy & is now back working in Austin in the electric field. They have two children: Jacob who is 15, who was adopted as an infant, and Katelyn who is 11. "We wouldn’t have had it any other way. It’s all in God’s perfect timing. Jacob’s adoption has been such a great experience. It’s an open adoption. We visit often. We have all gained many family members through this," Suzanne explains. The kids are very active with sports and show animals.
Suzanne worked in the dental field for 20 years. Due to back issues, she became a stay at home mom. "I use to pray to be a stay at home mom. Our God has a funny sense of humor. This is not how I envisioned that to happen. I felt like God allowed this so that I could be that voice to help others. Now I know that my voice will be used with this ministry. Not in public speaking because that is not my strong area. I know that God is working on me & can’t wait to see what the future holds."
Cindi Evans, Director of Outreach and His Hands Ministry -
"...helping people to reach out to others in Christ's name."
Meet Cindi Evans - here in her own words:
"Who am I?
I am Cindi Evans.
I am perfectly imperfect.
I am surviving on Grace and coffee.
I am broken.
I am winging it.
I am real.
I am thankful for God's loving forgiveness. I am pretty sure that I am like that one child we all know who is stubborn, hard headed and slow to learn a lesson, that we shake our head. No doubt, God does a lot of head shaking when it comes to me!
I am the blessed bride of Brandon, a busy, overworking high school AG teacher. We have 3 beautiful daughters, Shaylan, Miley and Remi Grace. Shaylan is a recent college graduate( What? When did that happen? ) This is an exciting time for her, as she prepares to find her way in the world. Miley is our high energy, blue eyed, tender-hearted, nine year old. Remi Grace rounds out our family at the ripe age of three years old.She is a sassy, whirlwind that has had our heads spinning since day one! These loves are my main Ministry.
I am a former teacher, turned stay-at-home mom and small business owner. I have a custom T-shirt, sign and decal business that I run from my home, under the supervision of my three year old shop manager. I also tutor twice a week for the AVID program at Burnet Middle School and teach enrichment classes at the ACE- BCC after school program at RJ Richey intermediate school.
My heart beat is to empower people, especially women. So many times, people get beat down by circumstances and lose hope and faith. They end up staying down, which influences their whole family. Through love and a hand up, we can help change their life and help them get back on track. I have traveled, and continue to travel, some pretty rocky paths, and I firmly believe God allows these things to happen so we can share our story and help others who are having similar struggles struggles. We are called to love one another, regardless of their past, not judge people and share our stories to help others.
I am passionate about essential oils, and homeopathic remedies. In recent years, I have realized that prevention is the best medicine. We have to take care of our bodies because they belong to God.
I pray Weakday Ministries becomes a blessing to you.
Jessica Floyd, Director of Creative Development - "...finding new ways to share the grace of Christ."
Jessica Floyd is the Creative Development Director for Weakday Ministries. Perhaps her creativity stems from her dedication to being a stay at home mom of four children! Jessica graduated from Burnet High School in 2008 where she was involved in Highlandettes and was crowned Miss AquaBoom in 2006. Although she has received many titles from several pageants, Jessica is not just known for having a pretty face, but a personality that brings laughter and joy to others. Jessica was born in Austin, Texas, and resides now in Burnet with her husband Shyler and their four children.
From Burnet High School, Jessica went on to complete cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell in Pflugerville. Shortly after, she became a mother to a sweet and bubbly little girl, Maycee Lynn. “Having a daughter really showed me how important it is to enjoy the little things in life because time travels so fast! It’s unbelievable that my first born in turning 7 years old,” Jessica says. Although Jessica will tell you firsthand that her life hasn’t always been a fairytale, she will tell you that God has always provided and put forth opportunities for her that made her feel whole again. “After having my daughter I went through some really low points because I had always envisioned something different for her. It created a struggle within me that made me feel like a failure as a mother.” Jessica realized during these times that the only fulfillment and truth she could find was God. Jessica spent years developing a stronger relationship with Christ and putting her faith and trust in His plan no matter what. Turns out that Jessica’s pathway and that of her high school crush ending up colliding into what is now going on a strong four year marriage. Jessica was already the mother of one little blessing and is proud to say she gained two more. Ava who is turning 6 years old and Landon who will be turning 5! A surprise arrival of their son Easton who is 3 years old, completed their blended family. “Having a blended family is definitely hard work, but I know in my heart that I am exactly where God wants me to be.”
Jessica’s love for children and the community shine through her efforts in Weakday Ministries. She is the girl who will always greet you with a smile and make you feel at home. Jessica’s love for her family makes her the perfect servant for God’s ministry because we all know that being a parent is hard work, but Jessica goes above and beyond to give back with a joyful heart! Jessica tells us that “Weakday Ministry is a place that I call home now. We all love, encourage and make each laugh just as a family is supposed to!”
Sommer Floyd, Music Director - "praising God through the ministry of Music"
Sommer Floyd is a Contemporary Christian artist who just released her album “Ray of Light” in October of 2016. “Music isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am.” Sommer says. Born and raised in the Texas Hill Country with her parents and three older brothers, Sommer graduated from Burnet High School in 2008. Sommer was an honor roll student, gymnast, gifted athlete, beauty queen, and genuinely a nice person. Sommer was the quintessential cheerleader, earning four individual high school All-American designations and three All Star Team National Championships. Sommer and her family were also involved in 4H, participated in livestock shows, and rodeos. After high school, Sommer attended Tarleton State University on a cheerleading scholarship where Sommer was designated a college All American as a freshman. From Tarleton, Sommer moved to Key West, Florida where she earned her Deep Sea Diving certification and continued her studies in Science and Biology.
Despite all of her accomplishments, Sommer is the first to admit that she is 100 percent human. “During my college years I not only lost sight of God but I lost sight of my own self worth and that to me is rock bottom for anyone.” When it seemed as if Sommer’s world was falling apart, Sommer began to dig deep into God’s faithfulness where she found that His arms were open wide. “As if loving me wasn’t enough, God loved me without condemnation and accepted me for me. He blessed me with a beautiful, healthy little girl who has shaped my heart in more ways than I can count.” Sommer worked in the medical field for three years after her daughter was born until God guided her in the path of her music ministry where she had to trust in God on a deeper level. “Being a single mom and making the decision to quit my job to pursue a music career didn’t seem logical. I’m so thankful, though, that God enlightened me to the fact that He exceeds all expectations of my own.” Sommer talks about being able to connect on a deeper level not only with God through music, but also with people. “Music speaks to people in a way that words cannot,” Sommer says.
Although Sommer stays busy traveling all over the United States with SommerFloydMusic, she still finds it important to continue to be a part of her small town ministry as well. “Weakday Ministry is such an awesome way to be connected with people in my local area. I can’t put into words how uplifting and joyful it has been for me to get to work with such an incredible group of people. Everyone needs to feel loved and to be encouraged, and that’s exactly what Weakday Ministry is about. So you can count me in!”
